Diffusion
2004 / Sound installation
Exhibition:
Utopies Philo Folie, Universite Catholique de Lille, France (June 2004)
Diffusion is a sound installation that works primarily on the interplay between two distinctive French voices – one is that of a middle-aged white woman, the other that of a young black woman. The text of the piece is drawn from my earlier electroacoustic composition Steel II, although the use of the French language, and the voices of the performers, presented me with a completely new range of creative possibilities.
